Rava Laddu or sooji Ladoo is a south Indian sweet that taste so delicious, which you can prepare very easily at home with minimal ingredients. I made this Rava laddu yesterday to celebrate Rakshabandhan. This ladoo is prepared by roasting Rava(sooji) in ghee on low flame and then adding.

- Take 2 boiled potato
- Take 2 tsp ghee
- Take 1/2 cup sugar
- Get 6 tsp semolina
- Take 2 tsp ghee
- Take 3 tsp sugar
- Take 1/2 cup milk
- Make ready Little bit edible red food colour
Sprinkle the semolina and salt and mix properly. Rava laddu also known as suji ladoo are delicious & aromatic sweet balls made with semolina, ghee, sugar and coconut. Rava is the Indian term for semolina & laddu are sweet balls. Also known as suji ladoo in other parts of India, these are usually made during festivals & are great to gift.
Instructions to make Potato and semolina laddu:
- Heat the pan and add ghee
- Now add boiled mashed potatoes
- Stir it for 10 minutes
- Add the sugar.mix it very nicely
- Add 3tsp milk..mix it
- When it becomes little thick switch of the flame
- Heat a another pan.add ghee..
- Then add semolina..stir it for 5minutes
- Then add sugar.mix it.now add milk
- Mix it constantly.when it becomes little thick switch of the flame
- Then add the food colour in the semolina..mix it.then make small ball form the mixture
- Then take a medium portion from the potato dough
- Make it flat..then put the semolina ball in the middle
- Again round it very nicely
- Keep it in the fridge for 5minutes..then cut in half
- It's ready
To make coconut rava ladoo, dry roast the semolina. This will remove the raw taste and also if the semolina is not roasted the ladoos will be sticky.
